Fntastic confirms studio closure days after The Day Before release
In not-so 'fantastic' news for gaming developer Fntastic, the studio has confirmed it's closing its doors just days after The Day Before released. The 2023 game was pitched as an open-world survival game that could give the likes of Rust a run for their money, but instead, it was slammed as a cheap The Last of Us clone.
There were already worries that The Day Before was a scam, with it being oversold in its original reveal and the team suspiciously avoiding gameplay trailers. Now, those accusations are sure to rear their head, as Fntastic has confirmed it's shutting up shop.
