When considering just how far the toy brand can reach, LEGO collabs are a bit bonkers. The company recently teased a new collaboration with Lord of the Rings, and when paired with sets based on Animal Crossing, Dungeons & Dragons, and every Marvel movie that's come out in the last 10 years, there's no time to slow down.

As Traveller's Tales wait in the wings for a rumoured LEGO game to debut, players are wondering what could be next in the megacorp’s involvement in the gaming industry. New leaks seem to indicate something fresh is coming that we simply weren't expecting - but some seem to be getting a little carried away.

A new Horizon LEGO collab is rumoured to be on the way

A new leak from the GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit claims that a new collaboration between Guerrilla Games' Horizon series and the LEGO brand is on the way, though the site doesn't explicitly spell out what the collab itself is.

Leaker Kurakasis suggested that an IP collab with the company and Sony's gaming arm was on the way, and as leaker Tom Henderson not-so-subtly suggests, "an announcement is on the horizon," players are excited for a new Horizon project.

Henderson adds that he understands a new trailer is "ready to go," but so far, players don't know what to expect. Horizon Forbidden West's Tallneck has already been adapted into block form, so there's a good chance that a new set is coming - but some fans seem to be getting a touch too optimistic.

Fans are expecting a full Horizon LEGO game

Fans have taken to the replies of Henderson's vague tweets to prepare themselves for an upcoming Horizon-themed LEGO game. It's an undertaking that would've taken a lot of work from TT, and it's hard to see this as much beyond over-excitement.

We'd love to see a gaming franchise step entirely into the LEGO world, but we're underestimating the work it would take to develop a game like this, which is seen as little more than a spin-off that might have expectedly limited sales.

With TT Games rumoured to be developing a Doctor Who LEGO game for many years now, it simply doesn't make much sense that Horizon would take precedence here.

We'll take any chance for Aloy to step into the spotlight, especially as Sony has sent both of her mainline titles to die against Earth-shattering adventure games released in a similar timeframe, but we're not sure this is it. Still, we'll be happy with a new LEGO set.
