With so many choices and ways to use each individual weapon, getting to grips with the Helldivers 2 arsenal is no easy feat

But just as one of the unsung heroes of the kit bag has become great, it's also broken the game and has been forcibly stowed away. The FAF-14 Spear is one of Helldivers 2's more grower-not-a-shower guns and is causing havoc by completely crashing the game.

In Helldivers 2, the FAF-14 Spear hasn't always been a popular weapon, but it has been increasingly effective as of late - serving as a guided missile that takes some getting used to.

However, just as players have gotten the best out of it, the launcher has apparently been a leading cause in crashes. Now, Arrowhead Game Studios has gone as far as warning players against using the FAF-14 Spear.

Through Discord, and now publicised on social media, Helldivers 2 Community Managers have revealed that "there are crashes affiliated with the Spear at the moment."

This message was in response to players reporting crashes when locking onto the side of a Charger with the Spear.

Community Manager Twinbeard has advised that the dev team is looking into the problem and will be hoping to fix it swiftly. Fans have felt the pain of this, though, "Just when it begins to feel so good using the Spear..." one player said. Another added, "Starting to lose patience with the content crashes and updates not working as intended."

Arrowhead Game Studios is already on hand to help fix this glitch, but for now, if you want to help save the many planets being overrun by Joel's minions, you might have to use a different rocket launcher.
