Anyone who has played Diablo in any capacity will know that it's all about the grind. And fans wouldn't have it any other way.

It takes some time to get through a Diablo game, meaning players are banking on the brand-new mainline title to keep up this tradition - boasting plenty to do and even more baddies to carve in half. We know it's likely to take about 80 hours to beat the game's battle pass.

The Battle Pass will last a few months before being cycled out for another, so accruing the best loot in the game is going to take some serious work. Now, as we're told how long it'll take to reach the highest level, it's clearer than ever that we're going to be here for a while.

Reaching level 100 in Diablo 4 will be tough

Clarifying just how long it's going to take Diablo 4 players to reach any kind of cap in the game, Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora has revealed just how long players will have to stay engaged to reach level 100 - the standard level cap for the game.

Responding to a tweet from a fan asking about the game time expected in Diablo 4, Piepiora says, "Reaching level 100 will take 150+ hours for the average player experience." That's a lot of hours, and for anyone else, this would be an insane amount to sink into one game alone. But for Diablo, it's chicken feed.

We knew that Diablo IV wouldn't give us everything right away, but even so, this is a pretty hefty number. It indicates that to reach the levels of toughness that players want, they're going to be playing for days. Literal, in-game days.

How long is the Diablo 4 Campaign?

During an interview with PC Gamer, Piepiora also revealed how long it's likely that players will spend in the full campaign mode, and once again, it's a pretty big number.

Piepiora claims that it'll take between 35 and 45 hours, which is no doubt going to keep players from twiddling their thumbs. Though Tears of the Kingdom might be the largest game of the year, Diablo IV looks to be the longest that see you sink many an hour into its hellish landscape.
