One of the most exciting parts of being an Apex Legends fan is the easter eggs Respawn add to the game for players to discover.

Instead of just releasing a batch of new content with no warning, the devs will add subtle clues into the Outlands as well as clear teasers to get the community excited.

Well, Apex Legends Season 18 is no different with weather warnings appearing across the Storm Point map and now, a Cyberpunk-style numbers easter egg for Revenant.

Apex Legends players discover new Revenant easter egg

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Mr_Perhaps showcased a clip of them playing Revenant when they experienced a strange easter egg.

Out of the blue while on a Storm Point, a sequence of red numbers and letters covered the outskirts of their screen. While only lasting around three seconds, it's sparked a lot of speculation in the thread, with a lot of players claiming it reminded them of Cyberpunk.

By the looks of it, it appears the location sparked a malfunction in Revenant's system or code, potentially hinting at an upcoming change for the Synthetic Nightmare.

What does the Revenant easter egg mean in Apex Legends?

While at this point the meaning of the Easter egg is unknown as the devs haven't shed any light on the situation, it's very likely linked to the Rev Reborn rumours.

It's expected that Revenant will be getting a rework in the near future and this easter egg does suggest that it may be arriving in Season 18.

Revenant's code malfunctioning in-game hints that his character as we know it today is about to change, and the process has begun. We'll have to see if any more Revenant easter eggs appear as we draw closer to Season 18's launch in August.
