Corpse Husband Reveals Illness Will 'Soon Prevent Him From Streaming'
Renowned and mysterious internet personality Corpse Husband has revealed he might soon have to stop streaming due to a deteriorating medical condition. Although Corpse was already known for his horror-themed videos thanks to his deep voice, it was in 2020 that he really took over the internet alongside the boom in popularity of Among Us. Corpse may keep his identity a secret, but there's no escaping the notoriety of his signature vocals.
There has been plenty of debate about why Corpse's voice is so low, with some sceptics claiming he uses a voice recorder. Now, the man himself is keen to clear up some of the mystery surrounding his USP. Unfortunately, Corpse Husband has said his condition is getting worse, meaning he's going to step away from content creation in the near future. Speaking to fans during a recent stream, he explained what the future holds for him.
What's going on with Corpse Husband's illness?
Opening up about what happens next, Corpse told his followers, "I don’t know about the whole streaming thing, like, with my illnesses, like, sitting on my computer and being able to play so many games like, I don’t think I am physically capable, like in the future. I already stream like once or twice a week as it is, like I don’t know how, I am not capable".
Even though Corpse hasn't revealed the exact details surrounding what's going on, it sounds like pretty grim prognosis. When pressed on why he limits his streams to just one or two a week, Corpse went on to compare himself to other big names like Imane "Pokimane" Anys. "All these other people are able to play every day and play different games and stream every day", said Corpse. "I just literally couldn’t do that even if I wanted to".
What's next with Corpse Husband's illness?
Only recently, Corpse ended a stream early when he reportedly started bleeding from his nose and his arms went numb. The streamer said he's wary about seeking medical attention in case he gets recognised and his Corpse Husband identity is exposed. That being said, you have to question when enough is enough, and you have to put your personal health ahead of your career.
Corpse says the toll of sitting at a computer all day to stream is the biggest issue right now. It's entirely possible to could go back to spinning spooky yarns, however, it's his streaming prowess that's helped him amass a massive 6.6 million subscribers on YouTube.
Elsewhere, could Corpse refocus his efforts back on music? Corpse Husband has a huge following of over 1 million subscribers on Spotify and has nearly 3.8 million monthly listens. Considering he says he "pours" his heart into music, this is one way he can get around his current predicament.
For the time being, Corpse is continuing to do his best in terms of streams and is expected to carry on his work. One thing's for sure though, it could be a short-lived venture if Corpse Husband's illness continues to get worse.
