While the console variant of Call of Duty is often seen fawning over the likes of Nicki Minaj or the latest Mil-Sim outfits, CoD Mobile plays on a different surface.

The handheld variant of Call of Duty doesn't mess around with feeble reskins of pop icons and is instead renowned for its incredible-looking weapon blueprints.

Now, fans of the franchise have been blown away, as CoD Mobile has released a skin which turns a little kitty cat into a demonic magma-infused weapon blueprint.

The fur-line species is no stranger to a bit of CoD warfare, with Sgt. Pspsps being in Modern Warfare 2 alongside a string of other animal-inspired bunny-hopping Operators.

Now, you can add a whole collection of kitties to CoD Mobile with the latest Metal Claws Draw bundle. The in-store purchase will see you catch the "Hunter's Prowl" skin, which turns Rodion into a point-eared furry bean, but that's not where the true beauty of this skin comes from.

The Metal Whisker skin for the Lotus sniper is blowing fans away, as according to the cinematic trailer, the rifle is actually a form of an Animagus cat.

After showcasing the blueprint and skin on social media, as the range is released into CoD Mobile, Activision was met with a wealth of replies from eyebrow-raised fans.

"Man CoD Mobile is just off the rails these days," said one fan, while a second equally stunned fan added, "I love how unhinged CoD mobile is." Not everyone was impressed, with a third concluding, "I would if they werent $100+ and acquired through gambling. Let me just buy the parts I want and give me the exact price ahead of time. Otherwise no thanks."

Other veterans of the CoD series were not too impressed that a calibre rifle has the heart of a four-legged friend, but there are plenty of beige camo trackies for them to enjoy on console and in DMZ.
