There are a lot of debates and disagreements within the Call of Duty community, but nothing sparks more flames than the topic of aim assist.

The controller feature is designed to aid in tracking an opponent, as those who use the sticks typically have less control than someone using a mouse and keyboard.

Of course, there's a portion of the community that believes aim assist offers a little too much help, describing it as a "soft aimbot."

Well, a viral clip has ignited the fiery debate once again, after a controller user's gun seemingly managed to track an enemy's movement with no input from the player themselves.

Call of Duty players call for aim assist nerfs once again

Taking to Twitter on September 26, Twitch streamer Pieman shared a clip of an enemy making full use of the game's aim assist.

Claiming this is proof "we are doomed," Pieman showcased the kill cam where the opposing player didn't have to track any movement at all, with the aim assist seemingly locking on with ease.

As expected, this sparked a huge response from the community who claim this is undeniable proof that aim assist is "insanely OP."

"I tried to play on a controller to see if the aim assist is that strong, And holy s**t… it was insane," said one user, with another arguing "COD Aim Assist needs to go back to BO3 AA because this too much."

Other CoD fans are tired of MnK players complaining

As with any debate though, there's another side to the story and a lot of controller players just think the MnK community is being dramatic.

For them, MnK fans never acknowledge the advantages their input has, and simply spend their time complaining over and over again.

"COD was a console game first so if you wanna play M&K that's on YOU, every week its a new complaint, if aim assist is so strong…why not just switch to controller," said one user, with another even going as far to say "COD MnK players will just continually complain about aim assist until it’s non-existent."

Ultimately, the decision will come down to the devs and whether they think it's too strong. However, with such a huge portion of the playerbase on controller, a nerf would definitely cause a lot of anger.
