Cheaters in Warzone remain as rife as ever, and it looks like even Call of Duty is ready to jump ship. With Warzone 2 seemingly around the corner and gearing up for release later this year, it seems like a good plan for Infinity Ward to take over the battle royale with all of the problems that have stacked up against Raven Software.

Hacking is still at a peak in Call of Duty, and it looks as though Raven is still struggling to keep on top of the brutal and belligerent intruders - but it looks as though they're getting a little creative, as a solution to the game's cheating problem has been seen in action.

As part of an anti-cheat that not a lot of players knew about, fans actually have an automatic God Mode that switches on when they're being attacked by detected hackers. The "damage shield" hack defence does pretty much what it says on the tin, making the cheater's bullets bounce right off of you, so you can take them out yourself. Talk about RICOCHET.

The prevention method doesn't actually crop up very often though, as the blog post announcing the anti-cheat methods state that the god mode activates "when the server detects a cheater is tampering with the game in real-time", with "no possibility for the game to apply a damage shield randomly or by accident".

TimTheTatMan Finds Damage Shield In-Game

A lot of players have discovered the cheat prevention measures through TimTheTatMan, who recently discovered the god mode live in-game.

When playing online on Caldera, Tim starts getting shot by an enemy player, but his health doesn't decrease whatsoever. "You see my health?" he says. "This kid's cheating. He can't do damage."

Tim seeks them out and takes them down, as all the while they try to shoot back to no avail. The kill is glorious, and it's immensely satisfying to see a cheater get taken down like this.

While this anti-cheat measure isn't exactly new, it's incredibly satisfying to see it play out, and watch as cheaters panic because their bullets simply aren't working. Cheaters might get away with a lot in Warzone, but it seems like Raven are at least willing to toy with them for a little bit.
