In the midst of a rather divisive Modern Warfare 3 Zombies crossover with Outbreak and DMZ, Treyarch appears to be balancing quite a lot of rotten flesh on their plate at the moment.

As they are handling MW3 Zombies and creating awesome and fluffy Easter eggs within this monster mode, the Call of Duty studio in charge of the undead game mode is also limb-deep in the development of its 2024 game.

Having been found to be going all-in on Zombies for 2024, Treyarch now looks like its got more than surprises up its sleeve, as leaks suggest jumpscares will be coming back to knock your socks off.

Call of Duty 2024 leaks suggest jumpscares are coming to Zombies

Although Treyarch is set to roll out "round-based" Zombies into Modern Warfare 3, in some capacity, its main focus will be on Call of Duty 2024 and continuing the story where it left off in Cold War.

Thanks to some nice help from the new CoD HQ, new leaks are emerging around Call of Duty 2024 and its Zombies game mode, and "MWIIINTEL" is claiming that there will be jumpscares in one of the already-leaked maps.

The leaker account claims that these will come when completing the quest for the unnamed Wonder Weapon, which suggests that classic Treyarch crafting options will return.

Gumballs and Armor also set to be revisited in Call of Duty 2024 Zombies

MWIIINTEL also claims that classic features like Gumball machines and Armor Crafting will also be returning to the franchise.

This system of generating perks, pop-ups, and additional armour was left behind in the original Black Ops series before the reboot and will be the first time they will be added since Black Ops 4.

So, even though we're only a matter of weeks into MW3, if you're already looking forward to Treyarch's next title, there's plenty to whet your appetite.
