Gaia - or Groot - is the John Cena of the Call of Duty world. "Can you see me?" No. We cannot bloody see this bag of branches bandishing around like a brazen bull.

The twisted tree has sprouted from every nook and cranny in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, and often comes out of nowhere, as the skin has been blasted by fans as invisible.

But even though Call of Duty is owning its see-through Operators, the developers have now addressed the issue, and have promised to take action.

Call of Duty has now confirmed that the Gaia skin has had "Improved visibility compensation" added to it, in order for players to be able to see the skin better on all backgrounds.

Taking to its new batch of patch notes, Call of Duty says they have "Added VFX to base skin that reflects the same level of visibility as BlackCell skin," which is more visible than the original version.

The effects should already be in-game, although there are reports of players who are still struggling to keep the tree creature in their crosshairs.

Call of Duty continues to nerf new cosmetics

Call of Duty has recently been accused of selling pay-to-win bundles just to nerf them shortly after, and this follows suit.

The issue was also raised this week as the DOOM collaboration went live and was instantly nerfed, and before that, occasions such as the LA Thieves CDL skin earlier this year.

Maybe CoD might look to take stock of the released skin prior to their launch, and fewer players will feel aggrieved that their hard-earned money isn't being pilfered into cosmetics which will change a few weeks later.
