Call of Duty 2024 reveal reward is a piece of art for Black Ops 1 fans

We're on the march with Treyarch's army this spring, as the incumbent Sledgehammer Games is handing over the Call of Duty torch later this year. With the annual CoD clock ticking over the halfway mark, Modern Warfare 3 is readying itself to both go down in a blaze of glory and to set up its successor to flourish. 

With Xbox hinting towards a big showcase soon, leakers have revealed that an in-game event is in the queue to reveal what looks to be Black Ops 6. Better yet, you don't have long to wait as it looks like it's coming later this month

Project Cerberus, A.K.A Black Ops 6, set to be revealed in-game in May

After leaks all but confirmed Call of Duty 2024 to be Xbox's big showcase later this year thanks to the "Project Cerberus" logo being used in official Microsoft artwork, leakers have now found the codename in Modern Warfare 3 files amid the Season 3 Reloaded update.

The file "s3_ceberus_reveal" indicates that CoD 2024 will be revealed in Season 3, which ends in late May. This only gives us a few weeks to dust off our Treyarch foam fingers.

This reveal is rumoured to be an in-game event that will also reward players for getting involved, much like how Treyarch aired Cold War through a Warzone Easter egg hunt. Best yet, the rewards look tasty to any Black Ops fan. 

Mustang and Sally return for Black Ops 6, and an early MW3 reward

When you think about iconic CoD duos, you think of Mason and Reznov, Soap and Ghost, and Price and MacMillan. But undoubtedly, the best pairing of all time is Mustang and Sally, and now the dual-wield pistols are returning.

The Mustang and Sally is the name for the Pack-a-Punched M1911, made iconic by the Black Ops 1 home screen and Zombies legend, Tank Dempsey.

With the Call of Duty 2024 reveal lined up, the in-game reward for attending has also been leaked to be the famous pistols.

According to x, the blueprint awarded to the live-event participants will be the Sally pistol.

You might also notice that we've been referring to the supposed title as Black Ops 6 rather than Gulf War, and that comes as a direct result of the Sally pistol in said leak, which differs ever so slightly from that seen in Black Ops 1. 

The pistol has been altered to have six tallies etched into the pistol, and fans are putting this together as the second hint in as many days that CoD 2024 will be titled Black Ops 6. The pistol only has Sally, though, so let's hope Mustang isn't too far behind.
