Gamers only want one thing from FromSoftware, and it's disgusting. Who'd have thought that a two-syllable game could shake the industry quite as it did, but nine years after its release, Bloodborne is still on everyone's lips.

There's a reason that every single Sony State of Play sees Bloodborne trend, and in an era where many games released since have been given a fresh lick of paint, we find ourselves asking why Yharnam has been left to gather dust. Thankfully, the Elden Ring community remembers, it always does.

Graceborne is the Elden Ring x Bloodborne crossover we'd always hoped for

FromSoftware has come a long way since Bloodborne, with Dark Souls III, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring all earning their place in the developer's back catalogue. Still, Bloodborne has a special place in our hearts. The devs know this, putting nods like Bloodborne's deformation slider and the returning Patches in Elden Ring.

The recent Shadow of the Erdtree DLC feels even more Bloodborne-esque, with the Aging Untouchables enemies looking like an evolution of the 2015 game's Winter Lanterns. Taking things one step further, modder Noctis has shown off their Graceborne overhaul.

Bringing Yharnam to the Lands Between, the mood is described as mod inspired by Bloodborne, with "the main goal of changing the mood and tone to a much more dark and sinister atmosphere." You can download the mod over on Nexus Mods, and yes, you can play as The Hunter.

Although only in its early stages, Graceborne adds 22 new armour sets, 35 weapons, 17 trick weapons, and five guns to the game, meaning you can now pump lead into your favourite Elden Ring enemies. While it's not quite putting all of Yharnam into the Lands Between, it's the next best thing.

The Graceborne mod has several perks, and with Bloodborne-inspired healing, it makes taking on the likes of Mohg (if you want to get into Shadow of the Erdtree) a hell of a lot easier. Elsewhere, there's plenty of hype that Graceborne effectively brings Bloodborne to PC for the first time ever.

With a tease that this is just the start of Elden Ring's Bloodborne facelift, we're excited to see where Graceborne could go. It doesn't look like FromSoft is going to make good on those teases of a Bloodborne sequel, so for the time being, this will have to do...not that we're complaining.
