Ever since Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, the topic on everyone's mind has been whether Call of Duty will make it to Game Pass.

For the longest time, it was speculated that only the older games would be coming to the subscription service, leaving new titles to climb the charts under their own steam.

This is because Call of Duty makes a huge amount of money from pre-orders and the cost of the base game every year, so giving that up is a massive leap. Based on a recent report, it's possible Microsoft has caved to the fans, and the rumoured Black Ops 6 will be released on Game Pass.

Black Ops 6 is reportedly coming to Game Pass at release

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft is making the bold decision to release its next Call of Duty game straight to Game Pass.

Leaked to be released this fall, the next CoD game by Treyarch already has a huge amount of excitement behind it, but this news will only take it to the next level.

With millions of subscribers active on Game Pass, it may open up the FPS to countless more fans and build on CoD's already huge community.

This step is not only unprecedented for this instalment in the franchise, but it's also important for every future game in the series.

Once one game is launched on Game Pass, there will be an expectation from players that all future Call of Duty titles will arrive there as well.

With the price of games rising every year and fans becoming more sceptical of pre-ordering them ahead of release, this will be welcome news to players across the globe.

Now, the devs just need to deliver a solid game with a brilliant campaign, as more players than ever will likely be stepping into multiplayer and the franchise with Black Ops 6.
