The Fallout TV show was officially announced in 2020 though it was set aside until late last year.

Recently, we have been given a lot of insight into the show, including the first real images, some teasers and now, the first full trailer.

Amazon has released the first Fallout trailer

The first trailer for Amazon’s Fallout TV show was released today and it seems to be heading in the right direction.

In a very similar way to the games, the trailer starts by showing one of the vault dwellers venturing out into the unknown wasteland, and being met with quirky characters, frightening monsters and a very dangerous landscape.

The video description states: “Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have.

“200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.

“From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more. Arriving April 12 on Prime Video.”

What do we know about Amazon’s Fallout show so far?

The show will follow Lucy, played by Yellowjackets’ Ella Purnell, as she ventures out of the vault and into a terrifying world filled with cities which have been hastily thrown together, mutant animals, uprisings, shootouts and the Brotherhood of Steel.

There is a great cast including Kyle MacLachlan from Twin Peaks and Zach Cherry from Severance, as well as Walton Goggins as a ghoul and Aaron Moten as Maximus.

Similarly, outside of cast members, Westworld’s Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and Bethesda’s Todd Howard, are serving as executive producers.

The new Fallout TV show will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on 12 April 2024.

Fallout will be the first new major Fallout story since Fallout 76 released in 2018 as Bethesda has been focusing on other IP since then.
