We all love a good VALORANT cinematic, and Riot Games has mastered bringing its games alive through character arcs and film.

Whether it be watching Cypher die or getting his revenge in an April Fool's episode, VALORANT has been heading in the same way as League of Legends for quite some time.

So off the back of the success of Riot's last Arcane project, it now seems like a VALORANT movie is on the cards.

Leakers claim a VALORANT movie is in the works

Arcane was a huge success for Riot Games, earning a nine-star rating on IMBD and netting a string of awards for titles such as "Best Adaptation" (The Game Awards) and Best Streaming Animated Series (Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards).

Off the back of this, Riot Games is apparently planning the same for VALORANT, as the leaker Kingdom Laboratories has claimed that a movie is in the works, with a trailer planned to be released in 2024.

The leakers claimed that the film is set for a 2025 release and that the trailer will air on October 13, 2024, even linking to the proposed YouTube live stream.

VALORANT's new movie could centre around 'United Together' China cinematic

While many fans will want to see an in-depth look inside Kay/O's head and see whether Jett really is as formidable as she appears in-game, it appears that Tencent will be taking the reigns of this leaked project and focusing it around the "United Together" cinematic that was used to celebrate the launch of VALORANT in China.

United Together "vividly embodies the in-game experience," according to Riot Games. "In line with this brief, we strived to replicate the thrill, strategy, and intensity that typify Valorant's gameplay," the designers said after its release, which breathes positivity if it does become the basis of a VALORANT movie.

VALORANT is rich with untapped lore, so a film would undoubtedly be a hit with the fans, as the background of the game we have come to love is filled with mystery.
